JAKARTA - The chairman of the DPRD of Alor Regency, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) Enny Anggrek complained to the Regent of Alor Amon Djobo to the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Police regarding a viral video that scolded the staff of the Ministry of Social Affairs.
"My goal is to visit the National Police Headquarters today to report a viral video by the Regent of Alor Amon Djobo who has humiliated us, in this case the Minister of Social Affairs, I am the chairman of the Alor DPRD and two staff of the Ministry of Social Affairs," said Enny at the National Police Criminal Investigation Unit, quoted by Antara, Thursday. , June 17th.
Enny explained that his complaint related to the viral video of the Alor Regent scolding the staff of the Minister of Social Affairs, Tri Rismaharini alias Risma, for distributing assistance to the Family Hope Program (PKH) through political parties and distributed by the Chairperson of the Alor Regency DPRD in his electoral area (dapil).
According to him, the Alor Regent is suspected of committing hate speech or insults, defamation, slander or hoax statements, and threats.
"That's why I came here to consult with the National Police Headquarters regarding a viral issue. It's very embarrassing and the words are very dirty, especially since we NTT people all know that swearing is very embarrassing for women," said a member of the PDI-P Faction DPRD. .
Enny said the legal steps he took were due to pressure from the restless NTT community, including NTT residents in Jakarta, Yogyakarta and East Java.
Apart from that, the Regent of Alor has apologized for the viral video incident.
"The community is very supportive, they complain why as the Regent can say that. Moreover, they know I am the Head of the Alor Regent Team, so they demand. As my responsibility to the people of NTT, I am present at Police Headquarters for consultation and make reports and complaints," said Enny.
Enny admitted that he brought a number of pieces of evidence to be handed over to investigators, such as the videotape of the Alor Regent's statement which had gone viral on social media and news published in the mass media.

Enny's next step will be to include a letter of complaint addressed to the National Police Chief, General Listyo Sigit Prabowo.

Regarding the report, the Head of the Public Information Section of the Public Relations Division of the National Police Kombes Ahmad Ramadhan said that the report of the Chairperson of the Alor Regency DPR against the Alor Regent Amon Djabo was still being consulted whether it met the criminal element or not.
