JAKARTA - The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) predicts that the weather in the Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang and Bekasi (Jabodetabek) areas on Thursday, August 13 will be dominated by sunny to cloudy conditions.

The air temperature is expected to be in the range of 23-35 degrees Celsius, with Bogor being a relatively cooler area, while Jakarta and Bekasi have the potential to experience higher temperatures during the day. BMKG forecast data shows that weather conditions can change throughout the day and differ between regions.

In the DKI Jakarta area, the weather is predicted to be sunny to cloudy in the morning. Entering the afternoon to evening, some areas are potentially cloudy.

The air temperature is expected to be in the range of 25-34 degrees Celsius with relatively high humidity. South Jakarta and East Jakarta have the potential to become areas with higher temperatures than other areas.

Meanwhile, the Bogor area is predicted to have a temperature of around 23-35 degrees Celsius. Sunny to cloudy conditions are likely to dominate throughout the day.

The Bogor area and its surroundings remain a relatively cooler area in the morning, although the temperature can rise quite high during the day.

In Depok, the weather is predicted to be sunny to cloudy with an air temperature of around 24-34 degrees Celsius. Similar conditions are expected to occur in Tangerang with an air temperature ranging from 24-34 degrees Celsius.

Meanwhile, Bekasi is expected to experience sunny to cloudy weather with a maximum temperature of around 34-35 degrees Celsius during the day. People who are active outdoors are urged to anticipate heat exposure, especially at noon.

In general, the rainfall conditions in August 2026 are predicted to be in the low category in most parts of Indonesia. BMKG noted that about 84.29 percent of the area was predicted to experience low monthly rainfall or 0-100 millimeters.

BMKG urges the public to maintain body fluid adequacy, use protection from exposure to the sun, and limit activities under the sun for a long time. The public is also advised to continue to monitor weather forecast and early warning information because atmospheric conditions can change at any time.

In general, the weather in Jabodetabek on Thursday is expected to be quite conducive for community activities. However, local weather changes still need to be anticipated, especially for residents who carry out activities outdoors.
