Police Call Former Foundation Chairman Soal Weapon Findings at School

JAKARTA - The police will summon the former Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Private School Foundation with the initials IWD regarding the findings of 995 firearms, pornographic VCDs, and drugs at the school located in the Pondok Pinang area, Kebayoran Lama, South Jakarta.

"The suspicion is like that, and of course we will invite those who are related, the foundation mentioned, it has to do with the old manager, that will be a point in the examination later," said Head of Public Relations of the South Jakarta Metro Police, AKP Joko Adi Wibowo, to reporters at the South Jakarta Metro Police, Friday.

He said his party had asked for information from one of the witnesses to trace the follow-up to the findings.

He said witnesses from the foundation had been scheduled to be examined on Friday.

"There are witnesses, and today there is also an examination. Of course, from the testimony of witnesses, it will develop in which direction we must delve into related to these weapons," said Joko.

As is known, the South Jakarta Metro Police revealed that they had secured hundreds of airsoft guns, several air guns, one firearm, as well as other evidence from within the warehouse belonging to one of the school foundations in the Pondok Pinang area, Kebayoran Lama, South Jakarta.

On July 10, 2026, the picket personnel of the Criminal Investigation Unit together with the Identification Unit of the South Jakarta Metro Police carried out an investigation of the crime scene (TKP) related to the alleged discovery of weapons at a private school.

From the results of the crime scene investigation, the police found 995 units of airsoft guns consisting of 776 units of revolver airsoft guns, 215 units of pistol airsoft guns. In addition, officers also secured four air rifle shots, one firearm brand Francispa, and four manufacturers of long guns.

All firearms and four long gun barrels were secured at the South Jakarta Metro Police Criminal Investigation Unit, while 995 pucukairsoft gunditip were stored in the State Property Storage Warehouse (Wasendak) of the Metro Jaya Police.

In the development of the investigation, on Wednesday (5/8), the police again found three pucukairsoft guns of the FN90, AK-47, and M4 Carbine types.

In addition to the weapons, the police also found two linting suspected of being marijuana and one package suspected of being methamphetamine.

The evidence is currently being handled by the South Jakarta Metro Police Narcotics Unit for further investigation.
