Attorney General's Office regarding the Pre-trial Appeal of Febrie Adriansyah: Please, it is the Rights of the Suspect

JAKARTA - The Attorney General's Office (Kejagung) responded to the pre-trial lawsuit to be filed by the suspect in the alleged money laundering case, former Deputy Attorney General for Special Crimes (Jampidsus) Febrie Adriansyah.

"Please, it is the right of the suspect and legal advisor if they want to apply for a preliminary hearing," said Head of the Legal Information Center (Kapuspenkum) of the Attorney General's Office, Anang Supriatna, as reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, August 4.

He said the right to apply for a pretrial was regulated in the Criminal Procedure Code so that the former Jampidsus was also entitled to file a lawsuit.

Febrie Adriansyah's camp will file a pretrial lawsuit regarding the determination of suspects by the Attorney General's Office and the National Police.

Febrie's legal team member, Firman Wijaya, explained that his party would file two pretrial motions.

The first application concerns the forced efforts made by the Attorney General's Office in determining the status of suspects in the alleged TPPU case and the forced detention efforts.

The second application is related to the forced attempt to determine the suspects in the alleged corruption and money laundering, search, and seizure carried out by the Polda Metro Jaya and/or the National Police's Corruption Eradication Task Force (Kortastipidkor).

Meanwhile, the team of investigators from the Attorney General's Office has named Febrie Adriansyah and the private party Nurman Herin as suspects in the alleged TPPU case.

Meanwhile, the National Police had previously named Febrie as a suspect in alleged corruption and TPPU in handling the PT Asabri case for the period 2020-2024. Don Ritto as a private party also has the status of a suspect in alleged TPPU in the same case.
