TANGERANG - A mother in the city of Tangerang, Nurjanah, had to walk down the street to find her son, Ario Pratama Danianto (10), who had not returned home after saying goodbye to buy snacks. The struggle finally got the attention of the Pinang Police who immediately intervened to provide assistance and help the search process.

Nurjanah, a resident of Kunciran, Pinang District, said her son said goodbye to leave the house during the day to buy snacks at a stall not far from the house.

Before leaving, he reminded Ario not to go too long because his father would soon come home. Not long after, Ario came back and said the stall was still closed because the owner was preparing to open the business.

At that time, Nurjanah went into the house to make milk for Ario's younger brother who was sick. However, when he returned to the front of the house, his son was no longer visible. The bicycle that Ario used was also lost.

Initially he thought Ario was heading back to the warung. However, after checking, the warung was still closed and the owner admitted that he did not see Ario coming.

Since then, Nurjanah and her husband have tried to find Ario in various locations, ranging from the surrounding area of the house, relatives' houses, to spreading information through school groups, RT, and RW. Even Nurjanah walked from Kunciran to the Pondok Aren area, South Tangerang, in order to find her son.

"I looked for it in the village, there was nothing, until the afternoon. That's why I panicked. I and his father looked for it everywhere, but we didn't find it, even to his grandmother's house twice," said Nurjanah when met in the Pondok Aren area, Monday, August 3.

Nurjanah's struggle then reached the ears of the Pinang Police. Knowing that there was a mother who was walking to find her child to the Pondok Aren area, the police immediately came to the location to provide assistance.

The head of the Pinang Police, Kompol Adityo Wijanarko, said his party immediately responded to information received from the community without waiting for the family to come to the police station.

"This afternoon we received information from the community that there was a Kunciran resident, Mrs. Nurjanah, who reported that her son had left home. The person concerned had to look for her son in the Pondok Aren area. After receiving the information, we picked up Mrs. Nurjanah to be taken to the Pinang Police and a report was made that the child had left home," said Adityo.

Upon arrival at the Pinang Police, officers helped in the process of making a report so that the search could be carried out immediately. After all the administration was completed, the police also escorted Nurjanah back to her house.

Not stopping there, the personnel of the Pinang Police were immediately deployed to help find Ario by coordinating with the community and disseminating information to the police ranks.

"We respond to every report from the community. In addition to picking up Ibu Nurjanah who walked from Kunciran to Pondok Aren, we also made a report, sent her home, and mobilized members to help find her son. Hopefully with our prayers, this child will be found soon and can reunite with his family," said Adityo.

The police chief also appealed to the public not to delay reporting if family members, especially children, do not return home within an unreasonable time so that search efforts can be carried out immediately.

"We appeal to parents to always supervise their children. If something happens that requires police assistance, immediately report to the nearest police station or through the emergency service 110 so that our members can immediately get out into the field and provide services to the community," he concluded.
