KPK Issues 6 SP3s by Mid-Year, DPR Secretary General Indra Iskandar is One of Them

JAKARTA - The Supervisory Board (Dewas) of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) revealed that his agency issued six letters of termination of investigation (SP3) until the middle of this year. This data is included in the pro-justice actions submitted by the KPK's Enforcement and Execution Directorate.

"SP3 there are six, which are on time (delivered to the KPK Dewas, ed) four, which are not on time two or 66.7 percent," said KPK Dewas Member Benny Jozua Mamoto when presenting the results of monitoring the implementation of the KPK's duties and authorities during Semester I 2026 at the ACLC KPK building, Rasuna Said, South Jakarta, Monday, August 3.

However, Dewas did not reveal the six cases that were discontinued or the reasons for issuing each SP3.

Meanwhile, when confirmed separately, the acting (Plt) Director of Investigation of the KPK, Achmad Taufik Husein, said that SP3 was issued for cases that lost in the pre-trial or the suspect had died.

The policy was issued on behalf of Siman Bahar as the former President Director of PT Loco Montrado who died in 2026; Kusnadi, the former Chairman of the East Java DPRD who died in 2025; and Budhi Sarwono as the former Regent of Banjarnegara who died in 2024.

Then, SP3 was also issued against the Secretary General of the DPR RI Indra Iskandar who won the pretrial in the corruption case of the procurement of the DPR RI Member's official residence; Edward Omar Sharif Hiariej who won the pretrial related to alleged bribes and gratuities; and Yogi Arie Rukmana and Yosi Andika Mulyadi who also filed a pretrial in the same case as Edward Sharif Hiariej.

"The last two SP3 were only reported to the KPK Dewas in the 2026 period," said Taufik via an SMS.

Dewas also received 2,093 notifications of pro-justice actions throughout Semester I 2026. The details consist of 762 notification of interception, 232 notification of search, 1,093 notification of seizure, and six SP3 notifications.

Of the total notifications, 282 of them were not delivered in a timely manner to Dewas.

Based on the results of the evaluation, Dewas asked the KPK's Enforcement and Execution Department to increase compliance in the delivery of notifications of pro-justice actions, especially searches, seizures, and SP3.

"The KPK Board of Directors has provided critical notes for the Enforcement and Execution Department to improve the timeliness of the delivery of notification of searches, seizures, and SP3 for legal certainty," concluded Benny.
