JAKARTA - Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi held talks with senior officials of Saudi Arabia and Pakistan.

Araghchi had a series of high-level phone conversations on Sunday, August 2 evening with his counterpart from Saudi Arabia, Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud, as well as the Chief of Staff of the Pakistan Army, Asim Munir.

As reported by CNN from the Iranian government media, Press TV, this is the second diplomatic communication he has made in 24 hours.

In the conversation, they discussed "the latest situation" as well as efforts to realize security and stability in the region, the media reported, citing Araghchi's upload on the X platform.

A day earlier, Araghchi warned his Saudi counterpart that any aggression or hostile action by the United States and Israel would be met with a firm and proportionate response.

On Saturday, August 1, Araghchi also held separate talks with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan and Asim Munir, while warning Iran that it would provide a proportionate response to any "reckless actions" taken by the United States.
