Spanish PM visits Ceuta after tens of thousands of migrants from Morocco break in

Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez will visit Spain's enclave of Ceuta in North Africa amid a surge in illegal crossings by migrants.

According to the report, Sanchez is scheduled to depart for Ceuta with Spanish Interior Minister Fernando Grande-Marlaska.

As reported by ANTARA from Sputnik, the prime minister will visit the wave breaker fence at Tarajal Beach, where he is scheduled to meet with law enforcement officials.

After that, he will hold a meeting with local officials, including the Mayor and President of Ceuta, Juan Jesus Vivas.

Previously, on Thursday (30/7), thousands of young people from Morocco gathered at the border between Morocco and Ceuta.

Then, hundreds of people, including those who crossed illegally into Spanish territory, prompted Spanish authorities to deploy additional police and military forces to the city.
