Head of the General Affairs Section (Kabag) of the Bulungan Regency Government, Ibad Nurdin, said the vehicle was borrowed to support the operations of the Kaltara Police to pick up guests.

Nurdin admitted that the mini bus service vehicle became the public's concern after it was recorded passing from Berau to Bulungan using the KU 72222 AA license plate which was said to be unregistered when it was traced through the Samsat application.
Responding to the alleged change of license plates, Nurdin emphasized that it was not a directive or policy of the Bulungan Regency Government.
"We are not directing for that," he said.
He explained, from the results of confirmation to the party who used the vehicle, the car was taken to a workshop to check the condition of the tire. That's when the number plate was allegedly replaced by the driver who was carrying the vehicle.
"I have confirmed with them. There is a driver who brought the vehicle when checking the tires at the workshop. He said the driver changed it, maybe he felt uncomfortable," he said.
However, Ibad admitted that he did not know the exact reason for the change of the number plate. He suggested that further explanations be confirmed directly to the North Kalimantan Police.

Meanwhile, Head of Public Relations of North Kalimantan Police, Kombes Slamet Wahyudi, said his party had coordinated with the Traffic Directorate of the North Kalimantan Police regarding the information circulating.
