JAKARTA - The Ministry of Social Affairs (Kemensos) is preparing regulations and simulation schemes to distribute social assistance (bansos), including the Hope Family Program (PKH), through the Red and White Village Cooperative (KDMP). This strategic step is taken to bring people closer and make it easier to access services.

The Minister of Social Affairs (Mensos), Saifullah Yusuf (Gus Ipul), said that this new mechanism was designed so that the Beneficiary Families (KPM), especially in rural areas, could disburse assistance more quickly and efficiently.

"We are simulating and trying to regulate it," said the Ministry of Social Affairs, Saifullah Yusuf, after attending the 59th Anniversary of the Indonesian National Council for Social Welfare (DNIKS) in Jakarta, Friday.

Two Options for the Distribution Scheme of Social Assistance through Village Cooperatives

To realize this plan, the Ministry of Social Affairs is studying two options for the disbursement of assistance:

Himbara Banking Agent Scheme: State-owned banks (Himbara) open official agent outlets at KDMP locations, such as utilizing BRILink or BNI Agent services. Direct Transfer Scheme: Social assistance funds are transferred directly to the Red and White Village Cooperative account.

For the initial stage, the Ministry of Social Affairs confirmed that the trial or simulation would focus on the availability of the first option, namely through the integration of the Himbara banking agency in the cooperative that is ready operationally.

Status of PKH Social Assistance III Triwulan

Regarding the certainty of the distribution of the PKH Social Assistance for the third quarter (July, August, September), the Minister of Social Affairs explained that the scheme through the KDMP could not be fully implemented during this period because the technical and maturity of the regulation were still being improved.

Therefore, the distribution of social assistance is still using the main method:

Direct transfer from Bank Himbara to the respective KPM accounts. Cash distribution through PT Pos Indonesia.

"Social assistance has been distributed since July 20. God willing, in one month it will be completed for more than 18 million KPM," added Saifullah.

Data Security and Digital-Based Verification

The Minister of Social Affairs assured the public not to worry about potential misuse or inaccurate targeting. The government is committed to maintaining transparency in the grand design of digital-based social protection.

Unofficial Cooperative Manager Changes Data: KDMP managers do not have access to determine or verify data on social assistance recipients. Automatic Verification System: Validation of beneficiaries continues automatically through a centralized system. Monitor via Application: The public can monitor membership status and disbursement independently through the Social Ministry's Cek Bansos application.
