Immediately Discharged, Kejaksaan Delivers 4 Suspects of PT AKT Mine Corruption to Court

JAKARTA - The Attorney General's Office (Kejagung) has accelerated the completion of the case of alleged corruption in the management of PT Asmin Koalindo Tuhup (AKT) mining. Four suspects have been officially handed over to the public prosecutor (JPU) to be immediately tried in the Corruption Crime Court (Tipikor).

The transfer of suspects and evidence or stage II was carried out by the investigating team of the Deputy Attorney General for Special Crimes (Jampidsus) to the public prosecutor's team of the Central Jakarta District Attorney's Office on Thursday, July 23.

Head of the Legal Information Center (Kapuspenkum) of the Attorney General's Office, Anang Supriatna, said that the four suspects handed over consisted of BJW as the director of PT AKT, MJE as the owner and main commissioner of PT Cordelia Bara Utama (CBU), ST as the beneficial owner of PT AKT, and HZ who served as general manager of PT OOWL Indonesia.

"There are four suspects who have been carried out in phase II," said Anang in his statement, Friday, July 24.

The four suspects are suspected of being involved in irregularities in the management of PT AKT mining activities in Murung Raya Regency, Central Kalimantan, during the period 2016 to 2025.

According to Anang, the suspects are suspected of abusing the authority, opportunities, or facilities they have because of their positions or positions to obtain benefits for themselves, other parties, and corporations. The alleged acts are said to have resulted in financial losses to the state.

"This act is carried out with the aim of benefiting oneself, others, or a corporation, as well as abusing the authority, opportunity, or means available to him due to his position or position that results in state losses," he said.

After the second phase of handover, the four suspects were immediately detained for 20 days, starting from July 23 to August 11, 2026, to support the prosecution process.

The Central Jakarta District Attorney's Office is now starting to draft a letter of indictment before handing over the case to the Corruption Court at the Central Jakarta District Court.

"The public prosecutor's office of the Central Jakarta District Attorney's Office will prepare a letter of indictment and hand over the case file to the Corruption Crime Court at the Central Jakarta Special Class IA District Court," said Anang.
