Motorcycle Burns After Avoiding a Car That Stopped Suddenly at Pasar Minggu

JAKARTA - A motorcycle driven by BAR (21) caught fire after avoiding a car that suddenly stopped on Jalan Raya Pasar Minggu, Pejaten Timur, Pasar Minggu, South Jakarta, Sunday afternoon at 13.30 WIB.

"When the victim was riding a motorcycle, he saw a Vios car suddenly braking. Then the victim dodged and dropped his motorcycle so that it would not collide with the car. After falling, the victim saw his vehicle emitting fire from the motorcycle engine," said AKBP Anggiat Sinambela, Head of the Pasar Minggu Police, in Jakarta, Sunday.

Anggiat said the victim immediately asked for help from the surrounding residents and was helped by residents to make a police report.

After receiving the report, the police immediately went to the crime scene (TKP) and asked for information from witnesses and victims.

Then, the South Jakarta Fire and Rescue Service (Gulkarmat) also deployed one group unit to put out the fire.

"The material loss of one motorcycle unit and the victim suffered a cut on the left thigh, and the victim was taken to Jatipadang Hospital for treatment," he said.

The fire did not cause congestion because there were not many vehicles passing by. "The incident was immediately handled by the police and the traffic police of the Jaksel Police," said Anggiat.
