JAKARTA - Three people were killed and one person was injured in a fire that hit a shop and business premises on Jalan Palad RT 02/RW 03, Pulogadung, East Jakarta, early Sunday.

"Three victims died, namely ES (67), LF (40), and RM (10). They were buried at the Rawa Teratai TPU," said Head of Operations Section of the East Jakarta Fire and Rescue Service (Gulkarmat) Abdul Wahid in Jakarta, Sunday.

Abdul said the fire occurred on Sunday (12/7) early morning at 03.00 WIB through a report from residents who came to the fire post.

The East Jakarta Gulkarmat Sub-Director immediately deployed the initial unit by arriving at the location at 03.04 WIB.

"Use to localize the rapid spread of fire that burned a total area of 14 fire units with 60 personnel deployed to the location," he said.

The cause of the fire is suspected to have come from a single plug that quickly spread to houses and stalls on the left and right sides or a short circuit.
