JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) is investigating the profits of PT Brantas Abipraya in the construction project of the Lamongan Regency Government Building (Pemkab) for the 2017-2019 Fiscal Year. The investigation was carried out by examining Syarif, former Director of Operations I of PT Brantas Abipraya for the period 2015-2020 as a witness on Wednesday, July 1.

KPK spokesman Budi Prasetyo said investigators were focusing on finding the benefits obtained by the company in the project carried out through the operational cooperation scheme (KSO).

"Investigators are investigating the testimony of witnesses regarding the project profit received by PT Brantas Abipraya. In the construction of the Lamongan Regency Government office building, where the work is carried out through KSO," said Budi in a written statement, Thursday, July 2.

Meanwhile, the acting director of KPK Investigation, Achmad Taufik Husein, is currently completing the settlement before handing over the case file to the public prosecutor (JPU). "Because this case has been going on for a long time and the results of the calculation of state losses from the BPK have come out," he told reporters at the KPK Red and White building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Wednesday, July 1.

Taufik emphasized that the completion of the Lamongan Regency building corruption case needed to be carried out. Because, the allegations have been investigated since 2023.

"So when the investigation process has reached the stage of closure, the investigative team is also focused on fulfilling the elements of evidence and elements of articles. How is asset recovery so that the state losses caused by the project can be returned to the country," he said.

As previously reported, the KPK has named four suspects in this case, namely Mokh Sukiman as the Commitment Maker Official (PPK), Ahmad Abdillah as the Director of PT Agung Pradana Putra, Herman Dwi Haryanto as the former General Manager of Regional Division III of PT Brantas Abipraya (Persero), and Muhammad Yanuar Marzuki as the Management Committee of the Construction Project of the Lamongan Regency Government Office Building for the 2017-2019 Fiscal Year.

During the investigation process, the KPK suspected that the cooperation of the PT Brantas Abipraya-PT Jaya Abadi operation was only used as a formality to meet the requirements of the tender. Meanwhile, the implementation of the project worth Rp. 151 billion was allegedly carried out by a company owned by one of the suspects, resulting in irregularities that led to state losses.
