West Java Police Holds Pre-Reconstruction of the Case of Kidnapping a Woman in Bandung

BANDUNG - The West Java Regional Police held a pre-reconstruction of the case of kidnapping and severe persecution of a woman with the initials YTR (29) in Bandung Regency with the suspect Taufik Hidayat to match the testimony of witnesses, victims, and suspects in the investigation process.

Head of Public Relations of the West Java Police, Kombes Hendra Rochmawan, said that so far investigators have carried out two pre-reconstructions as part of efforts to strengthen the construction of the case.

"The goal is to adjust to the information obtained from witnesses. Currently we have conducted two pre-reconstructions," said Hendra in Bandung, Tuesday, June 30, as reported by ANTARA.

He explained that pre-reconstruction would be carried out at four crime scene locations (TKP) that the suspect had occupied with the victim during the alleged period of kidnapping.

According to Hendra, the activity aims to ensure the appropriateness of all information obtained by investigators, including from victims whose information is still limited.

In addition, investigators also inventoried a number of items purchased by the suspect during the victim's alleged kidnapping, including a refrigerator (refrigerator), to find out the allocation of these items in the criminal chain.

"There is one of them a refrigerator, what is the allocation for, then where will it be put, then there are also other evidence, mainly related to the victim's testimony regarding the persecution," he said.

Hendra said the psychology team was still conducting a psychiatric examination of the suspect. The examination was carried out gradually as part of the deepening of the investigation.

"All of this leads to how we try to adjust the legal construction that we apply to meet all the elements of proof," he said.

He also appealed to the public who felt that they had been victims of the suspect to immediately report to the West Java Police.

"We received posts on social media claiming to be victims. We open space for anyone who feels they are victims to report," said Hendra.
