Prabowo asks rectors and professors to lower their hands to find solutions to national problems

Jakarta - President Prabowo Subianto invites rectors, deans, professors, and all academic staff to participate in solving various national issues according to their respective fields of expertise.

The message was reiterated by the President when attending the opening and closing of the National Sarasehan of the 2026 Science, Technology, and Industry Convention.

Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi said the President considers academics as the best intellectual resources owned by the nation.

"For the President, the deans, professors, and rectors are the smartest people a nation has," Prasetyo told reporters at the JICC, Senayan, Jakarta, Sunday (28/6).

Therefore, the President invited all academicians to work together to find solutions to various problems faced by Indonesia.

According to Prasetyo, each academic has different expertise. However, all these abilities need to be directed towards one goal, namely the interests of the nation.

"He wants to invite all academic staff to work together, to bring out the best abilities in their respective fields, but still within the framework of nationality," he said.

Prasetyo added that the request for the President to attend the closing of the sarasehan came from the committee. On that occasion, Prabowo again conveyed the views and directions of the government's policies to thousands of participants.
