JAKARTA - The Metro Jaya Police Traffic Directorate is still hunting for the driver of a truck that crashed into the Transjakarta Tebet Eco Park stop facility towards Pluit, South Jakarta, early Thursday.

The Head of the Traffic Police Sub-Directorate of Traffic Police, AKBP Ojo Ruslani, said the police were investigating to hunt down the truck driver.

"We have received information regarding the accident. Currently, personnel on the ground are investigating, collecting evidence, including surveillance camera (CCTV) footage around the location to identify the vehicle and hunt down the truck driver who fled," he said as reported by ANTARA, Thursday, June 25.

Based on the report, the incident occurred at 02.55 WIB when the area of the lane was being diverted.

"The regular lane is temporarily closed due to road paving work, so all large vehicles are directed to enter the Transjakarta lane," he said.

Then, the officer who was on duty, reported around 02.50 WIB that he heard a loud bang while he was filling out a ledger at the counter.

When checked, the top or the high-loading truck was stuck and hit the canopy and the roof of the bus stop. It is known that the truck immediately drove away from the scene.

"As a result of the hard collision, the Tebet Eco Park stop suffered significant damage.
