Through Strict Environmental Management, NHM Re-Obtained Blue PROPER from the Ministry of Environment and Forestry

SOFIFI - PT Nusa Halmahera Minerals (NHM) has again won the Blue PROPER award in the Company Performance Rating Assessment Program in Environmental Management (PROPER) for the 2025-2026 assessment period. This achievement confirms that NHM has met all basic requirements for environmental management and complies with applicable laws and regulations.

In the handover of the PROPER certificate which took place at Sofifi on June 10, 2026, the Manager of Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) of NHM, Widi Wijaya, received the Blue PROPER certificate which was handed over directly by the Acting Head of the North Maluku Provincial Environment Service, Halim Muhammad, ST, MT. The event was also attended by representatives of government agencies, mining companies, and various business actors in North Maluku Province as part of the agenda to appreciate the performance of environmental management of PROPER participants.

PROPER is an official evaluation program organized by the Ministry of Environment to assess the performance of companies in environmental management. This program aims to encourage companies' compliance with environmental regulations, support the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and strengthen the implementation of responsible and sustainable business practices.

NHM HSE Manager, Widi Wijaya, conveyed his appreciation for the results achieved by the company in this assessment period.

Furthermore, Widi explained that the PROPER assessment standard in the future will continue to develop and demand companies to continue to improve the quality of their environmental management.

"The challenge ahead is the fulfillment of the increasingly strict PROPER regulations, so that it becomes a motivation for us to continue to make the best efforts in environmental management. Hopefully, NHM operations will not only continue to meet all applicable laws and regulations, but also be able to improve performance towards the aspect of beyond compliance as one of the requirements in achieving Green PROPER," he added.
