Israeli Weapons Exports Break Record Again, Gaza-Lebanon as Test Arena?

JAKARTA - The Israeli Ministry of Defense (MoD) recorded that the export of military or alutsista weapons sales in the country again reached a record high in five consecutive years amid the Zionist military attacks on Gaza in Palestine and southern Lebanon.

The note, published Tuesday, June 2, includes exports reaching more than USD19 billion by 2025, driven by sales of Israeli-made missile, rocket, and air defense systems.

Israel is known to be among the world's leading arms exporters.

In addition to producing weapons, the Israeli military uses its military for endless attacks in Palestine, especially the devastated Gaza, and southern Lebanon.

"Israel's all-time defense export record has been broken for the fifth consecutive year, with USD19.2 billion in 2025 - an increase of almost 30 percent compared to the previous year, more than double in five years and quadruple in a decade," the Israeli Defense Ministry said in a statement.

The Israeli Defense Ministry also said its missile, rocket and air defense systems are a major export commodity and account for 29 percent of the country's revenue from deals.

"Significant improvements have been recorded in the observation and optronic systems," the statement said.

As many as 36 percent of Israel's military weapons exports come from European countries. Meanwhile, Asia and the Pacific region buy 32 percent, while the Middle East and North Africa 15 percent.

"There is a clear and undeniable common thread that connects the IDF's battlefield achievements on all fronts, the extraordinary capabilities of the Israeli defense industry, and the success of Israeli defense exports around the world," Israeli Defense Minister (Menhan) Katz said in a statement.
