Police Arrest Suspected Perpetrators of the Murder of a Korean National in Bekasi

JAKARTA - Polda Metro Jaya has arrested a suspected perpetrator in the case of the death of a South Korean citizen (WN) with the initials S (66) in the Tambun Selatan area, Bekasi Regency.

Head of Public Relations of the Metro Jaya Police, Kombes Pol Budi Hermanto, said the suspected perpetrator had been secured and was currently undergoing intensive examination.

"Yes, the suspected perpetrator has been secured," he said when contacted by the media, Friday, May 29, 2026.

However, the police have not detailed the motive for the crime because the examination of the perpetrator is still ongoing.

"The perpetrator is still under investigation," he said.

Previously, the police investigated the case of the death of a South Korean citizen with the initials S (66) who was found in a bloody condition at his house in South Tambun, Bekasi Regency.

South Tambun Police Chief Kompol Wuryanti said the case had risen to the investigation stage. The police have also examined six witnesses to investigate the incident.

"The case is in the investigation stage. The witnesses examined were six people," said Wuryanti.

Based on the results of the crime scene investigation (TKP), the victim was allegedly killed. The police have also obtained the identity of the suspected perpetrator.

However, the police have not revealed the identity or role of the suspected perpetrators in the case. Currently, investigators are still conducting further investigations.
