Jabodetabek Weather Forecast Monday, May 25: Jakarta Cloudy, Bogor Rain

JAKARTA - The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) predicts that the weather in the Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang and Bekasi (Jabodetabek) areas on Monday, May 25, will be dominated by cloudy conditions to light rain in the afternoon and evening. The public is asked to be aware of the potential for rain accompanied by lightning and strong winds in a number of buffer areas of the capital.

In the DKI Jakarta area, the weather in the morning is expected to be sunny and cloudy. Entering the afternoon to evening, light rain is potentially occurring in South Jakarta and East Jakarta. The air temperature in Jakarta ranges from 24 to 31 degrees Celsius with air humidity reaching 70-96 percent.

The Bogor area is predicted to experience moderate to heavy rain, especially in the afternoon and evening. The Puncak area and its surroundings are also potentially hit by rain accompanied by lightning. The air temperature in Bogor is in the range of 21-28 degrees Celsius with high humidity levels.

Meanwhile, the weather in Bekasi is expected to be cloudy since morning before light rain falls in the afternoon before evening. The air temperature ranges from 25 to 32 degrees Celsius. BMKG reminds residents to be careful of the potential for waterlogging and slippery roads when it rains during rush hours.

The Tangerang and Depok areas are also predicted to experience light to moderate rain in the afternoon and evening. The humid weather conditions in Jabodetabek are still influenced by atmospheric activity that supports the formation of rain clouds in the western Java region.

BMKG appeals to the public who are active outdoors to prepare umbrellas or raincoats and monitor the latest weather developments to anticipate weather changes that may occur at any time.
