The arrest of the perpetrator began with a report from a victim with the initials IUR (33) a woman from Surabaya to Mapolsek Kelapa Gading. The reporter is the child of an elderly female victim.
After receiving the report, the operational team led by the Kelapa Gading Police Criminal Investigation Unit, AKP Kiki Tanlim, conducted a check-up at the location. Then check the CCTV and it was found that there were 4 perpetrators.

In addition, the police also seized a black Toyota Rush car, followed by a vehicle registration certificate and a number of clothes.
During the interrogation, the three suspects finally admitted their actions of committing hypnosis fraud at the Harris hotel during the last action.
"The perpetrator admitted that the results of committing criminal acts of fraud and/or embezzlement at the Harris Hotel received cash amounting to Rp. 30 million," he said.
The money was used for daily needs by the three suspects.
"The suspect admitted that he had carried out the action 3 times, namely at the Mall of Indonesia 2 times and at the Haris Kelapa Gading Hotel 1 time," he said.
Furthermore, the perpetrator was taken to the Kelapa Gading police station for further investigation.
Meanwhile, from the victim's confession, the incident began when he and his mother were at the Harris hotel for a doctor gathering event.
However, when the victim attended an event on the 5th floor alone, he and his mother separated. The victim's mother was entrusted to an employee.
After the event was over, he and his mother went to the Kelapa Gading Mall (MKG) to eat. However, when it was time to make the payment, it turned out that the ATM card was not his.
After the victim checked, it was found that the ATM card had been exchanged by three perpetrators. In addition, the perpetrators also took jewelry and cash belonging to the victim's mother.
Until now, the case is still being handled by the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Kelapa Gading Police, North Jakarta. The three suspects were charged under Article 492 regarding the crime of fraud and/or embezzlement.
"One perpetrator (DPO) is still being hunted by members in the field," he said.
