JAKARTA - Minister of Hajj and Umrah (Menhaj) Mochamad Irfan Yusuf led the arrival of the second wave of Amirul Hajj delegation at King Abdulaziz International Airport, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

The entourage arrived via the international arrival terminal at around 17.40 Saudi Arabia Time. Amirulhaj's presence in the Holy Land is part of strengthening the direct supervision of the Indonesian Government over the implementation of the 1447 H/2026 M Hajj, especially ahead of the peak phase of Hajj in Arafah, Muzdalifah, and Mina (Armuzna).

"Our presence in the Holy Land is to ensure that the implementation of the hajj runs smoothly. The government wants to ensure that all services to the pilgrims run smoothly, safely, and comfortably, especially ahead of the peak phase of the hajj in Arafah, Muzdalifah and Mina," said Menhaj as quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, May 20.

Also in Amirulhaj's entourage, among others, Coordinating Minister for Social Empowerment (Menko PM) Muhaimin Iskandar, Deputy Minister of Religion Mohammad Syafi'i, KH Asep Saifuddin Chalim, Muhadjir Effendy, Heri Hermansyah, Rossa Safira, and Ilfi Nur Diana.

Upon arrival at King Abdulaziz Airport, Menhaj and Amirulhaj's entourage were greeted by members of the Hajj Organizing Committee or PPIH Saudi Arabia. The Amirulhaj also greeted the officers on duty at the arrival area as a form of support for the service work of Indonesian pilgrims in the Holy Land.

According to Menhaj, one of Amirulhaj's main agendas is to ensure that the operational readiness of Armuzna is 100 percent. This readiness includes tents and supporting facilities, transportation, consumption, health services, and the scheme for the movement of pilgrims during the peak of the hajj.

"Armuzna is the most important phase in the implementation of the hajj. Therefore, all aspects of services must be ensured to be ready, ranging from tents, consumption, transportation, to the arrangement of the movement of pilgrims. All must be measured, orderly, and oriented towards the safety of pilgrims," said Menhaj.

Menhaj also expressed his appreciation to all Hajj officers who have worked to accompany pilgrims since departure from the country until they are in Saudi Arabia. He asked officers to maintain stamina, cohesiveness, and response speed in providing services to pilgrims.

"We express our appreciation to all Indonesian Hajj officers. Keep your health, keep your unity and continue to provide the best service to the pilgrims. This service is a great trust that we must fulfill with full responsibility," said Menhaj.

After arriving in Jeddah, Menhaj will continue his activities to fulfill an invitation from the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah before continuing the agenda of supervising the haj services in the Holy Land.
