NTB Police Ensure that the Case of Police Officer Asusila is Still Processed by Law

MATARAM - The West Nusa Tenggara Regional Police has ensured that the case of alleged immorality against a child involving a police officer will still be processed in accordance with applicable legal provisions.

Head of Public Relations of the NTB Police, Kombes Mohammad Kholid said that the handling of the case is currently being carried out by the women and children protection unit (PPA) at each resort police.

"The case is being handled by the PPA Unit at each police," said Kholid, quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, May 20.

He explained that the suspected perpetrators consisted of a member of the NTB Police Brimob Unit, a member of the NTB Police Information Technology Unit, and a prospective police student who had previously been stationed at the Central Lombok Police.

The case involving members of the Satbrimob of the NTB Police was handled by the PPA Unit of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Mataram Police.

Meanwhile, cases involving members of the NTB Police's Information Technology Unit are handled by the Directorate of Women and Child Protection and Anti-Human Trafficking Police.

Meanwhile, the case involving the prospective police students was handled by the PPA Unit of the Central Lombok Police Criminal Investigation Unit.

"So, there are two suspected perpetrators. If the chassis handled by the Central Lombok Police has resigned from the selection process, since it was reported," he said.

The issue was previously highlighted by the NTB Sexual Violence Stop Alliance.

The representative of the alliance, Joko Jumadi, said that all the cases that were monitored had entered the investigation stage.
