Jabodetabek Weather Tuesday, May 19: Jakarta Cloudy, Bogor and Bekasi Rained

JAKARTA - The weather in the Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang, and Bekasi (Jabodetabek) regions on Tuesday, May 19, is predicted to be dominated by cloudy conditions to light rain in the afternoon and evening. The Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) reminds the public to be aware of the potential for rain accompanied by lightning in a number of buffer areas of the capital.

In the DKI Jakarta area, the weather in the morning is generally cloudy. Light rain is potentially occurring in South Jakarta and East Jakarta in the afternoon to evening.

The air temperature in Jakarta is estimated to range from 24 to 31 degrees Celsius with air humidity reaching 70-95 percent.

The Bogor area is predicted to experience moderate rain from noon to evening. The Puncak area and its surroundings are also potentially hit by heavy rain which can be accompanied by lightning and strong winds.

The air temperature in Bogor ranges from 21-28 degrees Celsius with high humidity levels.

Meanwhile, Bekasi is expected to experience cloudy weather in the morning before light rain falls in the afternoon towards evening.

The air temperature is in the range of 25-32 degrees Celsius. BMKG invites residents who are active outdoors to prepare umbrellas or raincoats to anticipate weather changes.

The Tangerang and Depok areas are also potentially experiencing light to moderate rain in the afternoon. The humid weather is expected to continue in most of the Jabodetabek area due to atmospheric activity that supports the formation of rain clouds in the past few days.
