Sitaro Regent's Son Asks for Justice to Commission III of the DPR RI

Floreinchya, the eldest child of the Regent of Siau Tagulandang Biaro Islands (Sitaro), Chyntia Ingrid Kalangit, submitted a complaint letter to Commission III of the DPR RI.

This step was taken as an effort to fight for justice for the mother and her family in the midst of the ongoing legal process.

Floreinchya assessed that the problems faced by her family were not only related to legal aspects, but also concerned dignity, reputation, and a sense of justice.

According to him, the family felt that their rights were beginning to be ignored and not all the facts were understood in full.

"As a child, I feel obliged to fight for justice for our parents and families. This issue is not only about law, but also about dignity, good name, and the sense of justice that we feel has begun to be ignored," Floreinchya said in his statement.

He said the problem had a big impact on family life.

In addition to taking time, energy, and money, this case also causes heavy mental pressure.

The good name of the family, according to him, was also affected in the midst of the legal process which is still ongoing.

"As a child, it is very painful to see parents and families under pressure, especially when we feel there is injustice that needs to be straightened out," he said.

Before sending a complaint letter to Commission III of the DPR RI, the family had taken various steps.

The efforts include communication, clarification, legal consultation, and settlement efforts in accordance with applicable rules.

However, the family feels that the issue has not received fair and proportionate attention.

Therefore, Floreinchya decided to ask for the assistance of Commission III of the DPR RI to ensure that the process is carried out objectively.

"We ask that Commission III help ensure that this process is fair, transparent, and unbiased. We just want our rights to be respected and the truth to be given space to be seen," he said.

The family hopes that an objective examination of all facts, evidence, and related parties will be carried out to restore justice, good name, and the belief that the state will continue to protect its citizens.

It is known that Chyntia Ingrid Kalangit has been named a suspect by the North Sulawesi High Prosecutor's Office in the case of alleged corruption of assistance funds for victims of the Gunung Ruang eruption in the 2024 fiscal year.

Investigators said the alleged embezzlement caused a state loss of around Rp22.7 billion and dragged five suspects.
