JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government will implement a Car Free Day (HBKB) or car free day on Jalan H.R. Rasuna Said, South Jakarta, on Sunday, May 10. This policy is implemented in the context of the 499th anniversary of the City of Jakarta.

HBKB will take place from 05.30 WIB to 10.00 WIB. During the implementation of the activity, traffic flow in the Kuningan area and its surroundings will be diverted.

The Acting Head of the DKI Jakarta Transportation Office, Ujang Harmawan, said the closure was carried out on two sides of Jalan H.R. Rasuna Said.

DKI's Dishub has prepared six traffic engineering patterns to anticipate vehicle congestion during the HBKB. Traffic diversion is imposed for vehicles from Manggarai, Kampung Melayu, Tanah Abang, Karet to Menteng passing through the Rasuna Said area.

Vehicles from Manggarai to Tanah Abang are diverted through Jalan Sultan Agung-Jalan Galunggung-Jalan Karet Pasar Baru Timur III-Jalan Karet Pasar Baru Timur II-Jalan R.M. Margono Djojohadikoesoemo.

Meanwhile, vehicles from Kampung Melayu to Tanah Abang are directed through Casablanca Highway-Jalan Prof. Dr. Satrio-Jalan K.H. Mas Mansyur.

For vehicles from Kuningan to Menteng, the diversion is through Jalan Prof. Dr. Satrio-Jalan Denpasar Raya-Jalan Setiabudi-Jalan Setiabudi Utara Raya-Jalan Setiabudi Tengah-Jalan Galunggung.

In addition to traffic engineering, the DKI Provincial Government has also prepared parking lots around the CFD location. A total of 3,687 Parking Space Units (SRP) are available, consisting of 1,680 car slots and 2,007 motorcycle slots.
