Head of the Ciamis Regency BPBD, Ani Supiani, said that the victim who was hit by a tree had been evacuated to the hospital, then the fallen tree trunk was immediately evacuated so as not to interfere with traffic on the Ciamis Highway.

He said, extreme weather such as heavy rain and strong winds still occurred in the Ciamis Regency area causing the impact of one of them being a fallen tree on Ahmad Yani Street, Ciamis District, Monday around 05.00 WIB.

The tree, he said, was in a dilapidated condition so that it could easily fall down when it rained heavily accompanied by strong winds.

"Heavy rain and weathered trees and their condition which is already tilted caused the tree to fall," he said.

He said that the incident caused a motorcycle rider from Ciamis to be hit by a tree that happened to pass by the location at the time of the incident.

A number of joint officers and the public immediately evacuated the victim to the Ciamis Regional General Hospital (RSUD) for medical treatment.

"The victim has been taken to the Ciamis PMI Hospital by an ambulance, the victim complained of dizziness and nausea, now he is being dealt with in the Emergency Room," he said.
