JAKARTA - The Kramat Jati Police Hospital, East Jakarta, asked the families of victims of the accident between the CommuterLine train and the long-distance Diesel Train (KRD) at Bekasi Timur Station to report to the victim identification post (Disaster Victim Identification/DVI).
"We have prepared a post for the victim's family. There will be data collection before death (ante mortem) for identification purposes," said the Head of the Police Medical Bureau (Karo Dokpol) Pusdokkes Polri, Brigjen Pol Dr. Nyoman Eddy at the Kramat Jati Police Hospital, East Jakarta, Tuesday.
Nyoman said that this post was to help the process of identifying the victims of the accident that occurred on Monday (27/4) evening.

Nyoman added that the joint team at the crime scene (TKP) was still conducting a search to determine the number of victims. This process is considered important to obtain accurate data related to the impact of the accident.
Meanwhile, the injured victims were not referred to the Kramat Jati Police Hospital, but were immediately taken to a number of hospitals in the Bekasi area to receive medical treatment.
"For the injured, they were all treated at hospitals around Bekasi," said Nyoman.
Until now, no bodies have been taken by the family because all of them are still waiting for the identification process to be completed. The police ensure that the process will be carried out professionally and in accordance with the applicable procedures.
