JAKARTA - Saudi Arabia's Hajj Organizing Staff (PPIH) Makkah Working Area (Daker) continues to perfect the readiness of three main services, including accommodation, consumption, and transportation to welcome the arrival of the first wave of Indonesian pilgrims from Medina at the end of April.

Head of Daker Makkah PPIH Saudi Arabia Ihsan Faisal said his party had moved quickly by instructing officers at the sector level to immediately check the feasibility of hotel facilities to be occupied by pilgrims.

"The most important thing is that we have prepared accommodation services from now on. We have instructed friends in the sector to immediately check all hotels, including facilities inside such as beds, bathrooms, dining rooms, prayer rooms, and lobbies," said Ihsan as reported by ANTARA, Friday, April 24.

In addition to the comfort of the residence, officers also provide full attention to consumption services to ensure that the health and stamina of the pilgrims are maintained during the performance of the worship. Ihsan ensures that the review of the kitchens of the catering providers in Mecca has been carried out intensively every day since the arrival of the advance team.

To support the mobility and smoothness of the congregation's worship at the Grand Mosque, the Shalawat Bus transportation service has also been prepared to operate at its maximum capacity. The service will serve pilgrims for 24 hours a day.

Ihsan explained that the layout of the Bus Shalawat stop had been designed in such a way as to facilitate access for pilgrims. The stop will be placed right in front of a large capacity hotel, or used as a strategic gathering point for several hotels that are located close to each other.

"From there, the pilgrims will move from their respective accommodations to be delivered to the Grand Mosque. Likewise, from the Grand Mosque there are several pick-up terminals such as the Syib Amir, Ajyad, and Jabal Ka'bah Terminals to deliver the pilgrims back to their respective hotels," said Ihsan.

All comprehensive preparations are being rushed because the first wave of Indonesian pilgrims is scheduled to immediately shift into Mecca after completing a series of prayers in Medina.

"The first wave of pilgrims, God willing, will arrive in Makkah on April 29 or 30. Because the group who was the pioneer of the first arrival in Madinah yesterday, that is, they will also be the first to leave for Makkah at the end of April," said Ihsan.
