Giant Sea Wall Project, Kemendiktisaintek Asked President Prabowo to Be Involved

Jakarta - President Prabowo Subianto asked the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology (Kemendiktisaintek) to contribute to the Giant Sea Wall (GSW) project.

President Prabowo has called the Minister of Education and Technology Brian Yuliarto to the Presidential Palace, Jakarta, several times, such as on Monday, April 20. Brian revealed that President Prabowo specifically asked the Ministry of Education and Technology to participate actively because this Giant Sea Wall is a strategic project to save 60 percent of industrial areas and also more than 30 million residents.

Brian said one of the things that will be done by the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education is to collect research results on campus, especially those who have conducted trials, such as in Demak and Semarang. Lecturers who have conducted research are asked to support the acceleration of the development of the Giant Sea Wall.

In addition, according to Brian, the Ministry of Industry will call several professors who have expertise and are involved in several projects related to land reclamation, reclamation, and the like.

The meeting will also be held with the Head of the North Java Coast Management Authority or the Java Pantura Sea Dike Authority.
