Revenge of the Death of a Brother Becomes the Motive for the Stabbing of the Head of the Golkar DPD at Maluku Airport

MALUKU - The motive for stabbing that killed the Chairman of the Regional Representative Council (DPD) of the Maluku Tenggara Golkar Party, Agrapinus Rumatora alias Nus Kei, was motivated by revenge from the perpetrators.

Head of Public Relations of the Maluku Police, Rositah Umasugi, said that the two perpetrators admitted that they had a grudge against the victim. They, he continued, believed that Nus Kei was the figure behind the death of their brother, Fenansius Wadanubun alias Dani Holat in Bekasi several years ago.

"The motive of the perpetrator is revenge. The two perpetrators are vengeful because the victim is believed to be the mastermind behind the murder of their brother," said Rositah, Monday, April 20, 2026.

The incident that triggered the grudge is said to have occurred in 2020 in the Bekasi area, specifically next to the Metro Galaxy Kalimalang Apartment, Jakarta. Then, said Rositah, from the perpetrator's confession, it became one of the bases for further investigation by the police.

This bloody incident, previously occurred at Karel Sadsuitubun Airport on Sunday, April 19, 2026 at around 11.25 WIT. At that time, the victim had just arrived from Jakarta before suddenly being attacked by an unknown person.

The perpetrator stabbed using a sharp weapon suddenly, then fled the scene.

"Suddenly the victim was stabbed by an unknown person using a knife, then the perpetrator immediately fled," said Rositah.

Rosita emphasized that, until now, his party was still investigating the case to uncover the entire series of events and ensure that the legal process was carried out in accordance with the provisions. Investigators also collected various additional evidence to strengthen the investigation process.
