Boyolali - After 20 years of waiting, finally the residents of Nglembu Village, Sambi District, Boyolali Regency are happy because the bamboo bridge that has been part of people's lives is now in the process of becoming a permanent suspension bridge.

The head of Nglembu Village, Sri Raharjo, said the construction of this bridge was actually proposed 20 years ago but could only be realized thanks to the strategic program "Red and White Bridge" of President RI Prabowo Subianto.

This was conveyed by Sri Raharjo, quoted by VOI on Monday, April 13. Sri told that while the bridge was still made of bamboo, residents worked together to dismantle the bridge once a year. Because the bridge is quickly damaged.

Finally, the bamboo bridge was swept away by the flood. Sri said the bamboo bridge was an access for residents to the market, health center, and schools in Simo District. According to him, residents are very happy with the presence of this new bridge.

One of the members of the Nglembu Village Babinsa also said that the construction of this bridge has long been awaited by the residents. According to him, the bridge in Nglembu Village has a strategic function because it connects two sub-districts, namely Sambi Sub-district and Simo Sub-district.

As a member of Babinsa, he was involved in the construction of the bridge according to the instructions of the Commander of Kodim Boyolali. He stated that the construction was being rushed so that it could be completed quickly so that it could be enjoyed by the surrounding residents.
