TANJUNG SELOR - The North Kalimantan Provincial Government (Kaltara) held a Regional Government Work Plan (RKPD) Planning Meeting (Musrenbang) for 2027 in Tanjung Selor.
The Governor of Kaltara, Zainal A. Paliwang, said that the Musrenbang was an important stage in the preparation of regional development planning documents involving various stakeholders.
"Through this Musrenbang forum, we refine the priorities of development by accommodating various inputs, so that the resulting planning is participatory, integrated, and targeted," said Zainal, Thursday, April 9.
According to him, the RKPD document must be able to answer the needs of the community and not merely meet administrative aspects.
"The RKPD document that is prepared not only meets the administrative aspects, but also must reflect the priority needs of the region and can be effectively implemented to encourage community welfare," he said.
"The Provincial Government of North Maluku has set the development theme for 2027, namely the development of a balanced region, human resources with character, and an added value economy towards North Maluku as the front door of the prosperous Republic of Indonesia," continued Zainal.
He explained that the focus of development was directed at the equalization of infrastructure, especially in border areas, inland areas, and coastal areas, as well as improving the quality of human resources through the education, health, and social protection sectors.
"In addition, local governments also encourage economic strengthening through the development of green and blue economies and the increase of sustainable investment," he explained.
Zainal emphasized that the Musrenbang is expected not only to be a routine annual agenda, but also a momentum to strengthen development synergy.
"I hope that this Musrenbang will not just be a formal routine, but a momentum to align aspirations and strengthen mutual commitment in realizing a developed, prosperous, and sustainable North Kalimantan," he said.
