BANDA ACEH - The Narcotics Unit of the Lhokseumawe Police, Aceh, thwarted a transaction of 1.5 kilograms (kg) of methamphetamine in its jurisdiction, a suspected perpetrator was arrested, three others were on the wanted list (DPO).

AKBP Ahzan explained that the disclosure of this case began with community information regarding the planned transaction of large amounts of methamphetamine.
"Following up on citizen information, the operational team immediately conducted an investigation until finally uncovering the case," he said.
He said there were two locations for this drug transaction, the first in the Simpang Ujong Pacu area, Blang Naleung Mameh Village, Muara Satu District, Lhokseumawe City.

From the suspect's hands, the police secured evidence of 1,501.36 grams of methamphetamine. The illegal goods consisted of one large package weighing about one kg packaged in a green plastic with an avocado picture, as well as five other packages weighing 500 grams.

"The evidence of the drugs was hidden in the motorcycle seat with a towel wrapped to deceive the officers," said AKBP Ahzan.
Currently, the suspect and the evidence have been secured at the Narcotics Unit of the Lhokseumawe Police for further investigation.
