JAKARTA - Former Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia (RI) 10th and 12th, Jusuf Kalla (JK), officially reported a defamation allegation to the Criminal Investigation Unit of the National Police Headquarters, Wednesday, April 8, 2026. The report is a follow-up to the legal consultation previously carried out by JK's legal team to the Integrated Police Service Center (SPKT) earlier this week.

It is estimated that JK arrived at the lobby of the Awaloedin Djamin Bareskrim Polri Building, South Jakarta, at around 11.00 WIB. He wore a blue shirt with floral motifs and was accompanied by aides and a legal team, including Abdul Haji Talohu and spokesperson Husein Abdullah.

"I want to report," JK said briefly to the media, Wednesday, April 8, 2026.

JK's lawyer, Abdul Haji Talohu, said the report was related to allegations of defamation and the spread of hoaxes involving Rismon Sianipar and a number of other parties.

"Yes, this is related to defamation by Rismon," said Abdul.

According to him, the report started from an accusation that JK was the party who funded the suspects in the case of spreading the issue of the fake diploma of the 7th President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo. The accusation was considered a serious slander.

Abdul added that in addition to defamation, the report also included allegations of spreading false news through various digital platforms, including YouTube channels. One of the allegations mentioned a flow of funds of up to Rp5 billion to the suspects.

"In addition to defamation and slander, there is also the spread of hoaxes by a number of accounts and YouTubers. This is a series of events that must be seen as a whole," he said.

In addition to Rismon, the report also includes a number of other parties, including YouTubers and owners of the Ruang Konsensus account, Budiyoso Askiliang. In one of his content, the issue also featured Mardiansyah Semar, Chairman of Rampai Nusantara.

The legal team hopes that this report can be immediately followed up by law enforcement officials to provide clarity while maintaining JK's reputation from accusations that are considered unfounded.
