JAKARTA - Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian claims that more than 14 million Iranians have voluntarily joined to defend the country in the war against the US-Israeli aggression.

In a post on his X account, Pezeshkian said that Iranians are ready to "sacrifice their lives."

"More than 14 million proud Iranians have expressed their willingness to sacrifice their lives to defend Iran," Pezeshkian wrote.

Pezeshkian emphasized that the breath and spirit of millions of Iranians were like his in defending the country's sovereignty.

"I have also been, am, and will be ready to sacrifice my life for Iran," he continued.

Previously, US President Donald Trump vowed to bomb Iran to the "stone age" if the deal covering the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz was not realized by Tuesday night, April 7 local time.

Even Trump openly threatened to attack Iran's energy infrastructure.

"We're giving them until tomorrow, 8 p.m. Eastern time, and after that, they're not going to have a bridge," Trump said at a White House news conference on Monday.

"They will not have power plants," he continued.
