Pangdam Udayana Gives House for Families of Soldiers Killed in Lebanon

JAKARTA - Piek Budyakto as the Pangdam IX/Udayana provided assistance in the form of a house to the family of TNI soldiers who died in a world peace mission in Lebanon. This assistance is a form of appreciation for the deceased's dedication to the nation and state.

The assistance was given to the family of Serka (Anumerta) Muhammad Nur Ichwan, a Kodam IX/Udayana soldier who died while on duty in the conflict area. The handover was carried out by the Assistant Staff of Kasdam IX/Udayana, Burhan Fajari Arfian, on Saturday, April 4.

In addition to the house complete with furniture in Magelang, Central Java, the deceased's family also received one motorcycle unit and other assistance to support their future lives.

In his statement, the Army Commander emphasized that this assistance was a tangible form of institutional concern for the families of soldiers who had sacrificed.

"This assistance is our form of attention and responsibility to the families of soldiers who have sacrificed their lives and bodies for the country," said the commander.

The handover of this assistance coincides with the process of picking up the bodies of fallen TNI soldiers, which arrived at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, as quoted by ANTARA.

During this moment, the Commander-in-Chief also met directly with the deceased's family, namely Hana Dita Anjani's wife and her seven-month-old daughter. His presence was a form of moral support for the family who were grieving.

Meanwhile, the Head of the IX/Udayana Regional Command, Widi Rahman, said that this step was a form of respect for soldiers who died in carrying out state duties.

"We will continue to pay attention to the families of soldiers as part of the institution's moral responsibility," he said.

He also emphasized that the dedication of the soldiers who died would always be remembered and an inspiration for all TNI soldiers.

On the other hand, the procession to welcome the remains of the three TNI soldiers was carried out militarily and was directly led by Prabowo Subianto.

The three soldiers are Major Inf (Anumerta) Zulmi Aditya Iskandar, Serka (Anumerta) Muhammad Nur Ichwan, and Kopda (Anumerta) Farizal Rhomadon.

After the welcoming procession, the bodies were sent to their respective home areas to be buried in a military cemetery in the heroes' cemetery.

Major Inf (Anumerta) Zulmi Aditya Iskandar was buried at TMP Cikutra, Bandung. Serka (Anumerta) Muhammad Nur Ichwan was buried at TMP Giri Dhamoloyo II, Magelang, while Kopda (Anumerta) Farizal Rhomadon was buried at TMP Giripen, Kulonprogo, Yogyakarta Special Region.
