PIKI 2026 Congress: AD/ART Revision is Driven, the Direction of the Organization is Sharpened

JAKARTA - The Pre-Congress VII of the Indonesian Christian Intellectual Association (PIKI) 2026 is not just a routine agenda. This forum is a stage for rearranging the direction of the organization in the midst of global geopolitical pressure that is increasingly felt in Indonesia.

Held hybrid from Jakarta, Saturday, March 28, 2026, this forum was attended by DPD and DPC throughout Indonesia. The focus is clear: the revision of the AD/ART which has been delayed since 2017.

The General Chair of PIKI, Badikenita Sitepu, confirmed that the VII Congress would still go ahead. He asked cadres not just to attend, but to bring ideas.

"This momentum must be a turning point for consolidation," he said from Seoul, South Korea.

PIKI also prepares further steps. This organization plans to meet with the President to encourage contributions to thinking in national policy. Global geopolitical issues are one of the focus of discussion.

PIKI Secretary General Audy Wuisang emphasized that the revision of the AD/ART was not about administration. This concerns the identity of the organization.

"PIKI must get out of the usual pattern of organizations. This is the big house of the intelligentsia," said Audy in a written statement received in Jakarta, Friday, April 3.

The revision includes adjustments to the structure, strengthening of identity, to sharpening the position in the public space. Including optimizing digital platforms to expand the reach of ideas.

The target is that all adjustments will be completed at the 2026 Congress. In 2027, PIKI wants to have a more measurable and relevant framework.

Chairman of the VII PIKI Congress Committee, Benyamin Patondok, ensured that all the series leading up to the congress on April 30-May 2, 2026 in Jakarta were ready, including security aspects.

This pre-congress is decisive. Whether PIKI remains a forum for discussion, or actually appears as an influential thinking force in the midst of global competition.
