Kajati NTB to Investigate Pajo Regent's Allegations regarding Alleged Persecution of a Prosecutor

MATARAM - Head of the West Nusa Tenggara High Prosecutor's Office, Wahyudi, paid attention to the allegations of Pajo Sub-district Head, Imran, regarding the alleged extortion of three prosecutors in the persecution case, which is now legally binding.

"That's just their confession (Imran), whose name is that kind of thing needs to have clarification of what kind of evidence, if it's true then we'll study it," said Wahyudi in Mataram, Wednesday, April 1, reported by ANTARA.

He said the review process would be directly under the control of the NTB Prosecutor's Office in the field of supervision.

"That (investigation) will be in the NTB Attorney General's Office, the direct supervision area," he said.

He revealed that the review process had not led to a request for clarification from the parties. Instead, clarification will take place after the review process is completed.

"We will first study, we will first see what it will be like, then there will be the next stage, there is a SOP (standard Operating Procedure), there are stages. So, it hasn't entered the clarification," he said.

The emergence of the alleged extortion by three prosecutors at the Dompu District Attorney's Office was first revealed from Imran's confession while carrying out the execution of the court's decision in the persecution case, Monday (30/3).

Imran admitted that the three prosecutors asked for Rp30 million with the promise of easing the burden of the criminal punishment for persecution.

The three prosecutors are initials J in the position of Head of the Intelligence Section of the Dompu District Attorney's Office, initials K in the position of Head of the General Criminal Section of the Dompu District Attorney's Office, and IS in the position of Head of the Special Criminal Section of the Dompu District Attorney's Office.

In Imran's confession, the three prosecutors are now known to have resigned from their positions and have been given new assignments outside the area.
