JAKARTA - PT Jasamarga Jalanlayang Cikampek stated that the return flow through the Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed (MBZ) Flyover began to subside on H+7 Idul Fitri 1447 Hijriah or Saturday (28/3), even though the movement of vehicles to the capital was still massive.

"The reverse flow throughout Saturday began to show a decrease because many vehicles had returned since the previous days," said the GM for Operations and Maintenance of PT Jasamarga Jalanlayang Cikampek Desti Anggraeni, Sunday.

He said that during the Lebaran H+7 period, as many as 35,120 vehicles were monitored towards Jakarta or increased by 29.3 percent compared to normal traffic of 27,161 vehicles, indicating that the reverse movement is still taking place even though it has gradually begun to decline.

On the other hand, vehicles leaving Jakarta were recorded as many as 20,036 vehicles, or down 33.76 percent compared to normal traffic of 30,247 vehicles.

"This decline indicates that the movement of vehicles out of Jakarta has begun to subside as the main homecoming and return flow period ends," he said.

Desti said that in general, the traffic conditions on the MBZ Flyover were smooth and under control with the support of continuous traffic monitoring and the readiness of operational officers in the field.

"Jasamarga continues to appeal to road users who pass through the MBZ Flyover Road to always prioritize safety by ensuring that the driver and vehicle are in good condition and maintaining the adequacy of electricity and fuel," he said.

Equally important is to anticipate potential weather changes, especially rainy conditions that can affect visibility and road surface conditions so that the journey can be safe and comfortable until it reaches the destination.
