52,961 People Return to Jakarta by Train Today

JAKARTA - PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) Regional Operation (Daop) 1 Jakarta recorded 52,961 passenger arrivals at various stations in the Daop 1 Jakarta region according to data as of Saturday, March 28, at 10.09 WIB.

Based on these data, the number of return passengers today is still quite high.

"Yes, the return flow today is still quite high," said KAI Daop 1 Jakarta Public Relations Manager Franoto Wibowo as quoted by ANTARA, Saturday, March 28.

Passengers arriving in Jakarta by train during the return flow period from March 23 to April 1, 2026, mostly come from cities in Central Java, East Java, DI Yogyakarta, and West Java, such as Semarang, Yogyakarta, Surabaya, Jember, Purwokerto, Bandung, Malang, Solo, Tegal, Madiun, and Kutoarjo.

If the arrival of passengers is detailed by station, Pasar Senen and Gambir Stations are the two main knots of the return flow.

On Saturday, the highest number of passengers came to Pasar Senen Station with 18,788 people, followed by Gambir Station with 15,439 people, and Bekasi Station with 8,320 people.

Meanwhile, the number of passengers departing from various KAI Daop 1 stations was lower than the number of arriving passengers.

Based on data as of March 28, 2026 at 10.09 WIB, the number of passengers departing from Daop 1 was 28,280 people.

The number is lower compared to 31,683 departures on March 27, 2026.

Based on the station, Pasar Senen Station again recorded the highest number with 13,832 passengers, followed by Gambir Station with 9,224 passengers, and Bekasi with 6,478 passengers.
