Transjakarta Will Revitalize Microtrans Drivers of JakLingko

JAKARTA - PT Transportasi Jakarta (Transjakarta) plans to rejuvenate the Mikrotrans or JakLingko drivers to improve the quality of drivers and user comfort.

"One of our focuses is to rejuvenate the crew in Mikrotrans. From the process we went through yesterday, there will be 125 people who will be placed," said Transjakarta President Director Welfizon Yuza in Central Jakarta, Friday, March 27, reported by ANTARA.

He said the Transjakarta Academy program also continued to run, including for Mikrotrans drivers.

Through the academy, drivers are expected to improve their competence so that service to users is also better.

"Today, we continue to process. This is a cooperation program between the DKI Provincial Government, Transjakarta and also Baznas, in which in this program, the SIM and its certificate are paid by Transjakarta through CSR," said Welfizon.

Transjakarta Academy is an official job training institution (LPK) established by PT Transportasi Jakarta to educate, train, and improve the competence of drivers and staff to create a safe, comfortable, and professional public transportation service.

The intensive 6-8 week training in the program includes defensive driving techniques, emergency handling, customer service, and basic bus maintenance knowledge.

In addition to technical skills, the academy also teaches soft skills, including effective communication, stress management, and driving ethics.

Transjakarta Academy instructors come from experienced practitioners, including traffic safety experts and transportation psychologists. Each participant will receive a competency certificate recognized by the Ministry of Transportation, which can open up wider career opportunities.

In addition to the rejuvenation of the crew, Welfizon said his party was also preparing 20 of the best crew to be sent to Japan through the Transjakarta Academy.

According to him, the departure to Japan is aimed at ensuring that the pilots have new knowledge and standards that can be applied in Indonesia.

Not only that, the departure can also be a motivation for the profession of the pilot not only as a driver, but also has a good future.
