JAKARTA - President Prabowo Subianto welcomed the arrival of Malaysian Prime Minister (PM) Dato' Seri Anwar Ibrahim at Istana Merdeka, Jakarta.

Reported by ANTARA, Friday, March 27, PM Anwar's visit to Jakarta this time was carried out in the context of a social gathering on the momentum of Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijriah.

The convoy carrying PM Anwar arrived at the Merdeka Palace yard at around 16.25 WIB with the escort of 17 motorized troops.

On the west side of the Palace, President Prabowo warmly welcomed PM Anwar's arrival directly on the side of the vehicle, reflecting the honor and confirming the closeness between the two leaders of the country.

The rendition of the song "Rasa Sayange" played by the music corps also enlivened the welcome to the arrival of PM Anwar.

PM Anwar also sang a glimpse of the song in sync with the music played.

Furthermore, in the atmosphere of Eid al-Fitr which is full of a sense of togetherness, President Prabowo and PM Anwar seemed to chat intimately while walking side by side into the Merdeka Palace.

There, the two leaders then held a meeting that was not only a space to strengthen bilateral relations, but also reflected the closeness of friendship between the two neighboring leaders.

PM Anwar's visit to Indonesia reflects the strong friendship between the two leaders in the region.
