Transjakarta Changes Lebaran 2026 Operation Pattern, Routes Added to Extended Services

JAKARTA - PT Transportasi Jakarta has adjusted the operating pattern during the 2026 Lebaran Transportation period to anticipate the surge in community mobility, both during the homecoming and return flow.

Transjakarta President Director, Welfizon Yuza, said that this adjustment will be valid from March 13 to March 29, 2026, including the addition of routes, extension of service hours, to strengthening connectivity to transportation nodes and tourist areas.

"This step is a follow-up to the 2026 Eid operation plan letter from the DKI Jakarta Provincial Transportation Office to support the smooth flow of homecoming, return flow, and access to tourist sites," said Welfizon in his statement, Tuesday, March 17.

One of the adjustments was made by reactivating route 10C which serves the Tanjung Priok Port area. This route is used as a shuttle for sea passengers during the homecoming period.

In addition, Transjakarta also extended the operating hours of a number of routes connected to intercity train stations such as Gambir Station and Pasar Senen Station. In the period 25-29 March 2026, services are extended until 23.59 WIB.

Night bus services or AMARI are still operated for 24 hours in a number of major corridors to maintain the connectivity of residents. This service operates in corridors 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 10, 11, 12, and 14. At certain periods, Transjakarta also prepares special Lebaran or EID routes connecting Pulo Gebang Terminal with a number of other terminals in Jakarta in the early hours.

For the first day of Eid al-Fitr, Transjakarta's operating hours will start later in the day than usual. New buses will start operating at 09.00 WIB so that officers have time to perform the Id prayer.

"Customers can enjoy Transjakarta services with a special rate of Rp. 1 on Lebaran H," said Welfizon.

On the other hand, Transjakarta is on alert for services to a number of tourist areas during the Lebaran holiday period, namely March 18-24, 2026. Routes to locations such as Ancol, Ragunan, TMII, to Old Town and Monas are still operating with adjustments to service hours.

Regular operations take place from 05.00-23.59 WIB, while tourist bus services are available from 10.00-17.00 WIB.

"PT Transportasi Jakarta ensures that the implementation of this special Lebaran service will not interfere with the quality and quality of service on the existing regular routes," he added.
