JEMBER - The bomb disposal team (Jibom) and the Forensic Laboratory (Labfor) of the East Java Regional Police are still carrying out the scene of the explosion at the Pesona Grand Mosque, Pesona Raya Regency Housing, Patrang Village, Jember Regency, Tuesday, several hours after the incident occurred during tarawih prayers.
The crime scene investigation was carried out with tight security by personnel from the Mobile Brigade Corps since early morning and until 08.30 WIB the examination process was still ongoing.

The explosion occurred on Monday evening at around 19.30 WIB when the congregation was performing tarawih prayers at the mosque. The explosion, which originated from within the mosque area, caused panic among the congregation and the surrounding residents.
Although it did not cause any casualties, the explosion caused damage to the roof of the mosque building.
One worshipper was reported to have been rushed to the Soebandi Hospital because he was suspected of having hearing loss due to the loud sound of the explosion.
