JAKARTA - Iran has stated that it has carried out a joint operation with Hezbollah to combat US and Israeli-related assets in the Middle East.

In a statement to Nour News quoted by NBC News, Thursday, March 12, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said it had launched a joint operation with Lebanon's Hezbollah against targets in Israel, Jordan, and Saudi Arabia.

The IRGC added that the attack involved the launch of missiles against Tel Aviv, "the occupied territories of Jerusalem, Haifa," and US military bases in Jordan and Saudi Arabia.

Hezbollah has long been Iran's most powerful regional proxy.

The strength of the group fighting for Palestinian independence and the expulsion of illegal Israeli residents in the West Bank and the Lebanese border was weakened, when their command system was damaged and infrastructure was destroyed in September 2024.
