Debt to Buy Marijuana Rp800 Million, Man in Cilincing Shot by Gang of Bandar

JAKARTA - A man with the initials SH (23) was shot using an airsoft gun by a group of people after buying fried rice on Jalan Tipar Cakung Gang Kompi Jenggot, Sukapura Village, Cilincing District, North Jakarta, Sunday, March 8, evening.

Cilincing Police Chief AKP Bobi Subasri said the victim previously had a debt related to the purchase of marijuana to one of the members of the group of perpetrators of Rp800 thousand.

"The victim was shot in the right leg, the right back, and the left knee," said Bobi in Jakarta, Tuesday.

Police said the victim was allegedly shot after resisting when he was beaten by the perpetrator with the initials F along with a number of his colleagues at the scene.

"We are still investigating this case by asking for information from a number of witnesses," said Bobi.

The perpetrator with the initials F is known to be a resident of Warakas, Tanjung Priok, who uses an airsoft gun type Glock 19 with five rounds of bullets.

Based on the victim's statement to the police, the perpetrator and his colleagues came on a motorcycle and approached the victim who was buying fried rice at the location.

The victim was then pulled by one of the perpetrators' colleagues and immediately mobbed at the scene.

When the victim tried to fight the beating, the perpetrator took out an airsoft gun and fired the weapon at the victim.

After the airsoft gun carried by the perpetrator was exhausted, the residents around immediately caught the perpetrator and had a mass judgment.

Not long after, someone claiming to be a member of the perpetrator's family took F to Koja Hospital for treatment.

However, when the officers of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Cilincing Police Station went to the hospital to conduct an examination, the perpetrator was no longer at the location.

The police are currently conducting further investigations to identify and hunt down other perpetrators suspected of being involved in the shooting incident.
