JAKARTA - The Laskar Merah Putih (LMP) community organization highlights the situation of the Middle East conflict by maintaining peace in the midst of current world turmoil.

The General Chair of the Red and White Army, Arsyad Cannu, said that he hoped that the national leadership could continue to play an active role in creating global peace and maintaining tolerance among religious communities in the country.

"My hope is that we will take care of each other as religious people and maintain national conditions. We support the mandate of peace carried out by President Prabowo," said Arsyad Cannu in a statement received, Monday, March 9, 2026.

Arsyad Cannu also asked all members of the LMP to maintain unity and always remind leaders who make policies to really pay attention to the fate of the country and the nation, especially for the people of Indonesia.

"LMP is ready to maintain national security and stability ahead of welcoming the Eid al-Fitr holiday. And the partnership continues between the TNI and the National Police," he said.

In addition, LMP also held a joint fast-breaking and orphan assistance at the Laskar Merah Putih Headquarters, Jalan Dr. Muwardi, Grogol Petamburan, West Jakarta, Sunday, March 8, 2025.

"The allowance is given to 200 orphans, they are part of the children of the nation. Our task is to nurture our children who are in orphanages," he said.

"Today's activities, he continued, were attended by members of the LMP Headquarters Board of Directors and continue every year.

In line with this, the LMP Deputy Secretary General Abdul Rachman Thaha emphasized that the LMP is committed to improving Islamic brotherhood and tolerance because the LMP management consists of various religious backgrounds.

He also highlighted the impact of the global situation on the national economy which requires the unity of all elements of the nation.

"The current global situation has a very significant impact on our economy. We always remind policymakers to really pay attention to the fate of the Indonesian people," he said.
