JAKARTA - Iran launched an attack on an Israeli oil refinery in Haifa, according to a statement by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (Iran's elite military unit/IRGC) on Saturday.

"The Haifa oil refinery has been hit by an Iranian Kheibar Shekan missile," the IRGC said, quoting Antara.

According to the statement, the IRGC also attacked US bases in Bahrain, US forces at the Marina Hotel in Dubai, and a number of targets in Haifa.

On February 28, the US and Israel launched a series of attacks on a number of targets inside Iran, including in Tehran, causing damage and casualties among civilians.

Iranian state television confirmed the death of Iran's Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, as a result of the attack.

Iran then responded to the attack by launching missile attacks on Israeli territory and US military facilities in the Middle East.
